The Formative Advantage: Dr. Kevin Murphy

So why take a formative approach? Here are some initial considerations:

With a psychologist in your career corner, you have the scientific proof and practical know-how to expand potential, lift performance and be your best self at work.

  1. Formative solutions are tailored to intentionally shape practices and activate essential change. 
  2. Evidence based approach: You must prove it to use it! My practices as a psychologist are grounded in scientifically validated research and insights to deliver real results.
  3. Formative work requires an understanding of human behavior: Humans are complex and there is no one size fits all approach. Experienced corporate psychologists have the skills and know-how to draw from the diversity of practices and schools of thought to increase the impact of coaching for their diverse clients tailored to their unique needs. 
  4. Knowledge, training and certified experience: Understanding the underlying beliefs, motivations and behavioral patterns are key to developing our way forward. Discovering the underlying “why” will be the foundation for the “what’s next”.
  5. Training, ethics and regulated practice: As a professional registered by the Illinois Board of Financial and Professional Regulation, I take the privilege of my profession seriously. 
  6. To ensure that we provide the most current, ethical and impactful practices I am bound to uphold my licensure with ongoing training, professional conduct, and practicing well within legislative guidelines. This protects my clients and provides added confidence in capability.
